      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

About a week after submitting the application to Southwest, I was sent an email, which provided a self-help link to select my preferred (30-minute) interview timeslot. After selecting it, I was provided an interview confirmation email, which provided further instructions. The interview was conducted online (using Microsoft Teams). Two people were interviewing me, which may not be typical. The Talent Acquisition (recruiter) specialist interviewed me along with one of the project leaders within IT. It lasted the full 30 minutes, and was a very positive experience. Based on their feedback, there's a good chance I might make it to the second interview!

      Please tell us about yourself...
      1 Answer

I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines

      Interview

Very laid back interview. Casual, non-technical. Several rounds of interviews that seemed to go really well. They ghosted me for about two months after the interview with no explanation, follow-up or update. After several proactive emails on my part, they finally told me I wasn't a good fit, but didn't elaborate on why.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Jul 2022

      Interview

Several interviews, mix of technical and behavioral interviews. They seem to be really protective of their culture, and it can be difficult to get hired at SWA. If you are deemed a fit in the culture you stand a great chance. Overall it’s not a hard interview process, just be yourself. Don’t be fake or say what they want to hear. They can sift through the bull pretty easily.
