For a senior role like this I would have expected an opportunity to discuss the role before applying although there was no opportunity. Also, they offered zero feedback on the application which again seems poor

The interview was in-person, although remote candidates were also interviewed. The panel was fair and had a diverse composition. There were several questions that tested my knowledge of the SKA project.

About a month after applying I was contacted by email for a video call interview. After the video interview I was asked to go to the office for a in person meeting with head of the department (all costs on SKAO).
Received an offer two days after the in person interview.
