I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
Through a series of interviews with different members of management. The first interview was over the phone. The second interview was in person at the branch. Phone interview lasted for thirty minutes and it was a just a normal initial interview. In person lasted fourty five minutes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you disagreed with something someone said and what you did about it.
The first phone interview lasted less than five full minutes. All that was asked was if I was able to commute to the location and if I was willing to obtain casualty insurance license in the first 90 days. Never heard back from anyone
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you able to obtain Casualty insurance license?
Assessment tests asking you "if john left his house at 40 mph at 10am then got to his location at 12pm...etc... " have anything to do with the job ? I doubt it. Skills, knowledge, experience are the things needed and checking off some boxes mean nothing. If they wanted to actually hire someone they would do an actual interview and not do an Assessment test. Take the time to evaluate someone and if you can't evaluate based on an interview then you shouldn't be hiring.

Question 1
Assessment tests, never got past that point of nonsense.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at State Farm (Berkeley, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
The interview process was fairly easy and you knew along the way what was happening. They made surety in form you and let you know where you were and what going on.
