Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were very simple. Calling API and Creating an application via React.
I failed on Optimization for logic for my API. They provided excellent feedback on why I did not move forward. Highly recommend.

Interview
Initial phone screen. Basic questions about my current job and what I'm looking for. Introduction to the company and its culture. Typical softball questions for cultural fit and to see passion levels for building software. Followed by take home coding quiz. Not too difficult if you're familiar with react and some back-end language. Followed by live system architecture designing session with a dev.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Studio in Jun 2021
Interview
Interview process lasted ~4 weeks, and that's not counting the final interview with the rest of the team and another with the CEO.
Overall, not a bad experience but a lot of work was involved considering it was all unpaid. I was lucky enough to be able to take the time to complete projects and multiple interviews, but I imagine a parent or someone that didn't already work from home would have struggled to find the time to do so. That indicates to me that the company is looking for a specific type of person to work there and doesn't care so much about diversity.
