Unprofessional behavior from HR. Initially, I was more than happy to be given a chance for an interview at TP Aerospace. I had to attend 2 interviews, one online and one in person. Nothing out of the ordinary. My second interview ended a bit more abruptly, not leaving the chance to ask any questions. We had however covered a potential starting date which would be 1 week from that second interview. They promised to give me an answer already the next day leaving me with some time to think about the offer. However, they go on to postpone their answer until the morning of the last day. After a brief phone one day before the discussed starting date, I was given the job, but with expectations to give an answer right then and there on the spot during that phone call. I was grateful for being given the chance and truly expressed it, but still asked for at least a day to consider the offer. They said it's not possible because they have to call other candidates if I don't want the job. I asked for at least the end of the day, they however gave me an hour to think. I agreed to have this 1 hour to think about the offer, but 5 minutes after the call I got a text message from HR saying that I seemed " a bit weird to them" on the call and that's why they are taking back their offer and will move on with other candidates. Overall, HR demanded an answer from me on the spot, without having the chance to review a written contract before verbally agreeing. After asking for a day to think about the offer but getting only an hour, they decided to cut the time to 5 minutes and label me as weird. I must say this attitude is quite unprofessional on their behalf. I believe it's standard practice to have a reasonable amount of time allocated to potential new hires to think about the given offer. Rather, I felt blamed when I asked for time, and on top of that was called "weird". I have never come across this type of pressure when being offered a job, let alone being called "weird" when asking for time to consider the offer. In my opinion, this is unprofessional and the HR department should define a more structured process, giving potential candidates enough time for consideration.
