Had a total of 7 rounds between meeting team members and speaking to senior leadership. They told me they were putting off hiring for the role for a few months, next I checked the hiring manager left the company.

How would I handle a customer who was about to churn?

they reached out for an interview to discuss role and my interest.
Set me up to talk to product and discuss role further. The next steps were to talk to a CSM. I did not hear from them for two weeks. My direct co-worker announced that she would be joining their company for this role. On that same day, they did not follow up and let me know that the position was filled but instead mentioned I would be a good fit for a role that was not open.
Overall, it was facetious and an unorganized process to poach two co-workers. I have not heard from them since expressing I was only interested in the original role and I do not expect to hear back. They still have not confirmed that the role was taken which I think is bad practice to leave a candidate you recruited in the dark, especially given that I know the other candidate very well.
