      Interview

The whole process is done online and consists of initially uploading your CV, reference details, etc, followed by undertaking their practice audio and copy typing tests until you feel confident enough to complete the real ones. There are three tests; a grammar test, a speed copy typing test and, finally, the transcription of an audio file which you have 90 minutes to complete. Upon being deemed a reasonable transcriber at this stage, you will be given the opportunity to spend some more time on your completed transcript and to check it against Take Note's guidelines. After doing all of the above, you will then be informed if Take Note want you on their books or not!

      Interview

You complete four stages of assessment online which involve spelling and grammar skills and typing up a passage of text. The final stage is transcribing an audio file. They don't expect you to do it perfectly, to 65wpm, straight away but the marking is still quite strict. If you get close to the required mark they will give you a second chance at passing Stage 4 with some feedback.

      Question 1

Are you able to type at 65 wpm?
