      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Texan Eye (Austin, TX) in Aug 2016

      Interview

Sent in my resume for an insurance position. Got a call back to interview for a technician position because of my experience. I was open to it and came in to their main location for an interview. Interview went very well IMO and afterwards I met with the technician supervisor who said my resume was "a breath of fresh air compared to the crap" they've been getting. I was told they were going to contact my references and get back to me. A week later I was told to go meet a tech supervisor at a different location that was closer to where I was living to be more convenient for me. I was glad they took this into consideration and was very pleased with that interview as well. they went over all of my benefits, asked for salary requirements (said what I asked was "well within range"), went over where to buy my uniform, hours, literally everything. I was told I would get a call with my offer soon and they basically told me it was a done deal. I didn't hear anything back within a few days and was offered a position by a different company. I emailed Texan Eye asking when I would hear next from them and that I was still very interested in the job. Got a call less than 5 mins later that said they were going to pursue other options. I was at a loss and really confused. Still very much upsets me.

Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in Texan Eye. As we are a large company with multiple locations, there are often several interviews in order for us to screen our candidates carefully. We ensure that the position is the best fit for both parties. Due to this, our hiring process takes time. An official offer of employment was never extended. We are pleased to hear that you were offered a position elsewhere and wish you the best of luck in your employment endeavors. Best, Texan Eye
