I applied online. I interviewed at The Email Marketers (Santa Monica, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The Email Marketers interview process was extensive and time intensive.
I completed a detailed application with lengthy questions, a multi-hour practical task, a cognitive and psychology assessment where I scored very well, and a live call.
Feedback on my work and test performance was positive throughout.
However, after investing significant time across these stages, I was ghosted with no communication or closure.
The process felt misaligned with the company's stated expectations; they're recruiting for top-tier talent but the candidate experience and HR professionalism don't match that standard.
If you value clear communication and respect for your time, be cautious with this hiring process.
I'd read similar warnings beforehand, but I didn't trust my gut and decided to take the chance anyway.
They also asked if I could manage the workload and responsibilities of three roles for a single salary.
In hindsight, I wish I had listened to what others were warning about.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Email Marketers (Cape Town) in Sept 2024
Interview
Had first interview with HR. Was very relaxed and comfortable. Has to do a task that took about a day. They came back to say the previous person in the position has come back so they’re no longer looking for someone. Kind of a waste of time.
