I was recruited. I had an initial phone interview with three people. I was invited for an on-site interview. I was reimbursed for travel and they paid for my lunch. The day was packed with interviews. I think I had six sessions not counting lunch. Each session had one or two people from different areas, covering most of the aspects of the job (manager, teammates, business, etc). It was tiring, but the choice of interviewers was thoughtful and well-balanced. It gave me a really good sense of the workplace culture and how I would fit.
