It was a very abrupt situation. I am assuming the new to be director of the Specialised Care Program was not experienced with interview etiquette )She said, we would like to hire you. She said, the next step is having a shadow. She set up the date for the shadow. She then proceeded to take my liscense and start the Cori form.) They sounded extremely positive about giving me a job. One of the ladies Susan said, you will have to give your two weeks notice etc. and also that she was excited about my shadow.)Then less then forty eight hours, they told me via e-mail they had already found the person they need beforehand and that she had a shadow that went well.) Despite my ten years of experience, this other person had more. In the future, they should call the shadow a second interview. They should wait to tell me "we would like to hire you" A more realistic answer could have been, we need to go through all our candidates and will call you as soon as they had made a decision. I asked the interviewer if there was something I could do better next time telling them I wasnt upset but just wanted to know. I also asked if my references were not good, and they said it had nothing to do with me and they said I did good with the interview. Hopefully next time, they will be realistic by telling the interviewee they are interested, but they need to talk beforehand and will get back as soon as possible!!!
