Overall the interview experience here was okay, but the process was very long. Felt like I was put through the ringer, only to get silence, then ultimately a rejection.
The process consisted of a phone screen with HR, a phone interview with a manager, then onsite interviews at HQ with several managers (panel style). Then they gave me a case study to present for the final round, followed by a one on one interview with a national manager. Too many steps in my opinion. Taking time away from my current job to do all these steps was difficult. After the final round, it took weeks and multiple emails following up with HR to get any response. When I was finally able to speak with her, the feedback she relayed to me was that they wanted me to use more external industry data to strengthen my case presentation. That feedback is beyond frustrating since the instructions said to present based on information in the case. The recruiter also said they interviewed over 60 people for the job, which just seems wildly inefficient. Toyota seems like a great company to work for and everyone I interviewed with was nice, but the length of the interview process and the feedback for why I didn't get an offer left me with a bad taste.
