I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Transport for London (London, England) in Feb 2013
Interview
I was lucky in that I had a contract position through a consultancy which involved me working in TfL. At the end of this contract position with the consultancy, I was asked by the Project Leader at TfL if I would like a contract position within his team as they were short staffed at the time. This was effectively a direct procurement process, so no interview was had (I guess you could say my previous role there was my interview).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I initially had a 30 min conversation with the TfL project lead on how I would manage the particular project that I was being bought in to run.
I applied online. I interviewed at Transport for London (Morden, London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
A very poor process that was rushed and only thirty minutes with no questions allowed. It did not give a fare appraisal of one's skills or to achieve dialogue. How to declare a long experience in such a short time an it was not in a lift.
quick & easy, fun not to long winded, great feedback ultimately got the role. make sure to do loads of research before you get to the interviews & you should be just fine.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Transport for London (London, England) in Nov 2023
Interview
Very relaxed interview process. Completed via teams with two senior managers present. Focus on working within a large organisation, challenges of financial management, the culture within the organisation and complex governance processes.
