It started in February 2024. I had multiple interviews, with a gap in the middle. In early March, a company recruiter said they expected to make me an offer. In late May, a specialist said there had been delays due to headcount revisions. In July, they emailed me the position was no longer available, and they re-posted it. I would have preferred if they’d just emailed that they’d decided not to hire me. They are smart people and I am puzzled about how it was handled. In the time between March and July, I wondered if this was a common hiring practice.
