The interview process was alright but I was let down by the internal recruiter who simply wasted my time. The first interview is all high-level tell us about yourself, salary, etc. The second interview is a technical screen where you have to describe your relevant software experience and then you work through a problem on coderpad. The question was easy, implement the itoa function. Then, because there was more time, I was asked to review some code. I was then sent a rejection email from the no-reply address after not getting a response from the recruiter for several days. I asked for feedback and surprisingly I got it. It turns out that my lack of front-end experience was a deal breaker for them, despite the recruiter telling me directly in the first interview that this was totally fine and we should proceed. I guess the recruiter think it’s OK to waste people’s time and effort like this. Btw the salary range I was given for this position was 120k-140k.
