Applied online via referral and had a scheduled interview a week later. Interview went great, really positive, was told I would hear back within the week. During the interview, they even told me I was a strong candidate and wanted me to stay in touch in case anything changed on my end. After the week had passed, I heard nothing so I reached out again to ask about timeline and received an immediate response saying they were still considering me but were behind on interviews. They said they would get back to me by the end of the following week. That week came and went and again, I heard nothing . So, I waited a couple more weeks in case they were still behind. Decided to do one more reach out and had a similar response (behind on timeline, still considering me). A month goes by and I get an email stating I was not selected for the role and they chose an internal hire instead. Luckily, I had already moved on (due to bad communication and stringing me along) but I found the whole process very disrespectful. They should be more transparent about their timelines and hiring process. Turns out they had created this job for a promotion track within the company and were not intending to hire outside of the company. I have heard from other folks in the area that they have had similar experiences with the hiring process at CUNA. I suggest they treat their candidates with more respect and not string them along.
