Typical Interview Process
1. Application & Resume Screening
HR or the recruiter reviews resumes and applications.
Candidates are shortlisted based on skills, experience, and role fit.
2. Initial Contact / Phone Screen
A short call (15–30 minutes) with HR or a recruiter.
Focuses on background, interest in the role, and basic qualifications.
Sometimes includes a few simple technical/skills questions.
3. First-Round Interview
Often virtual (Zoom/Teams) or in-person.
Conducted by HR, the hiring manager, or a panel.
Questions cover experience, behavioral/STAR questions, and alignment with company culture.
4. Assessment / Technical Stage (if applicable)
For some roles, there may be:
A skills test (e.g., Excel, technical design, case study).
A presentation or written exercise.
Job-related problem-solving scenarios.
5. Second-Round / Final Interview
Deeper conversation with the hiring manager, senior leaders, or team members.
May focus on cultural fit, leadership skills, or technical depth.
Sometimes includes a site visit or facility tour.
6. Decision & Reference Checks
The hiring team meets to compare notes and decide on the finalist.
Employer conducts reference or background checks.
7. Offer Stage
Candidate receives a verbal or written job offer.
Salary, benefits, and start date are finalized.
Initial call with HR then call with director. Interview was Very short, no technical questions, asked for salary expectation. General questions about past experience and why you’re interested in the role
