The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Apr 2023

      Interview

This is my general timeline. From application to CTO, it took me about a month. I’ve heard from others that it took a few months for them to get to the F2F. I’m not sure how they organize their interview batches, so don’t worry if your process takes longer. 1. If you meet the minimum requirements with your application, you’re sent an assessment. It’s a typical personality/behavioral assessment based on traits you’re most likely vs least likely to exhibit. Be honest and quick with your responses. This is also supplemented with an “on the job” assessment that is more situational. You’re given all the information you need. Read thoroughly and pay attention. I recommend taking notes. 2. 5 days later, I received an invite to do the virtual video introduction. This is a pre-recorded video with getting to know you questions that allows you to simultaneously think about if this career is right for you. Again, be honest. This process benefits you just as much as it does them. Give yourself enough time to complete so you don’t feel rushed. You have 2 attempts per question, so practice all you want and record when you’re ready. 3. Within a week, I was sent an invitation for the 1:1 live interview with a recruiter. I scheduled mine about 2 weeks out. Definitely give yourself enough time to connect. I was late 2 minutes because I wasn’t expecting them to utilize Microsoft Teams lol. Don’t use the app, just open the link through your browser. The interview was all standard “tell me about yourself” and STAR questions relating to their core competencies. All the questions were ones I’ve seen either on here or other forums. My interviewer wasn’t very responsive while I was answering, but they’re also taking notes. Don’t feel discouraged if you’re not getting much of a reaction from them. 4. The next day, I was sent an invite to the F2F. They had a lot of options available, some very immediately. They keep the link live for 2 weeks and more dates will pop up if you need more time for whatever reason. I jumped on one a few days away because the timing worked out the best for me and I simply wanted to get it over with. I don’t necessarily recommend because I was scrambling to get my travel in order. I flew in day of (also don’t recommend) and flew out the day after. The F2F is very group based. There’s already a really thorough outline for the day on here so I’ll skip that. It was pretty much that to the T. Since it’s mostly group based, get comfy with your crew and try to speak up during group activities. I get it’s hard with competing personalities, but find your voice and assert at least one opinion of your own. At the same time, allow for others to speak and actively listen. Number one tip: EAT A HEARTY BREAKFAST. Even if you’re the type that doesn’t eat breakfast, do it. If you end up getting a CTO you’re there for a while. The interview started promptly at 10am and I was there til 3 as one of the first ones called out for the 1:1 and others called out later didn’t finish the entire process until close to 5. They do have water and snacks, but they’re all sugary and not sustaining. Other general tips: Make genuine connections with your crew. These could be fellow classmates! During the ice breaker, speak to the group, not just your recruiter. Be present and engaged. You are required to keep your phone on you, but try to keep it out of sight unless it’s necessary. Even though you’re assigned a group, still float around and speak to other candidates. I learned a lot from candidates that are current FAs. Overall, just have fun, be yourself, and be confident in the way you speak and carry yourself.

the Interview was a multistep process. It was challenging but if you did your prep work you pass easily. The interviewers are looking especially at your mannerisms, appearance, and personality you bring into the room.
