I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online on May 13, received an e-mail the same day to do a Hirevue video interview online. I did the video interview on May16. May 18, I received an e-mail to schedule a one on one interview. I called their 1800 number to schedule. I scheduled the interview for May 28, 2015 @ 9am they flew me out to Newark, NJ. We met at the one of the gates in the airport. They took us to the training center. Their was about 25 of us. We watched a orientation video, where they talked about the job and more details. We were able to ask questions. I was called for my one and one pretty early, I was about the 5th person to be called. The lady I interviewed with was such a sweetheart and she was very nice. She made me very comfortable. Even though I was super nervous, it went away because I was just able to be myself! Just overall everyone was really nice! After my one on one, they asked me to stay to meet with two supervisors for another interview, again began to get nervous, because now this is where they will really decide. They went over my resume about my past work experience and they just kind of asked the same questions, and they really want to make sure that you are serious about the position, and want you to understand the expectations. They asked if I had any visible tattoos, after that they had left the room, they said they had to gather more information. It was maybe about 5 minutes later and they came back and offered me to attend training! :-)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked various of questions. Pretty easy questions, Why do you want to be a flight attendant, Name a time you went above and beyond for a customer service, Tell us what you know about United airlines.. The questions were situational questions about customer service. If you just answer real life scenarios and just describe the situation, task and end result, that is what they are really looking to hear.
I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
It started with the Assessment, followed by 8 video questions, and then the video interview. The in person final interview I am waiting for. They said I would know in 2-5 business days.
