Extremely disrespectful interview experience. I applied through Indeed and received (what I assume is automatic) a online quiz assessment. It was 20 questions in about 20 minutes. I felt this quiz was extremely difficult given the level of job (2 years preferred); extremely in depth questions that I believe many people would not know the answer to without Googling. Poor assessment of a candidate's knowledge.
After completing the quiz, I waited about a week to hear back. I then received a follow-up quiz: a self reflection where I rank my knowledge on specific technologies, languages, and frameworks. This was fine, felt a little odd having these quizzes a week apart.
I then waited another week to hear back. 2 weeks after initially applying, I received a link to a take home assessment. Keep in mind, I still had not talked with anybody (recruiter, HR, etc.). This take home assessment was a boilerplate of React, Django, WebPack (not listed in posting), Docker, and SQLite3. There were 6 relatively in depth tasks that was stated it should take 3-7 days. There was also no documentation or help explaining how the boilerplate was created. With a great deal of time committed, I completed and returned the take home with my notes within the 3 days deadline.
V2 Cloud responded saying they will get back soon with feedback. Based on the email, this take home assessment is meant to be paired with a panel interview to explain what you have coded and why you made the decisions you did. This never happened.
I was ghosted for a week. After 12 days, I reached out via email. I never received a response. Absolutely disrespectful that a company sends out 2 quizzes and a 3-day take home assessment before even talking to a real human being. Even more disrespectful to accept my take home challenge and ghost the candidates. I expect better.
Heavily recommend not applying to this company.
