I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Providence, RI) in Oct 2016
Interview
A recorded video interview with some scenario examples. Later, a short phone interview and then they offered me the job. The video interview was one that I found very awkward--my first time doing it. Also a bit stressful as you are timed! It took significant time to complete.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They presented a specific situation about a student having to write an essay and asked me what I would do in this situation--how I would approach it, what I would say, how I would plan the session with the student.
I applied online and then they set up an interview with me. The interviewer's questions were straightforward and I also got to ask questions about the job. There was clear follow up on the next steps in the interview process.
There was no interview process. We just got offer letters and I think its because they are still starting and up and all. But I think its a great opportunity to learn and teach.
