Overall, the experience was negative because the recruiter(s) are not responsive, and completely 'ghosted' me after a few rounds of interviews with no feedback. They also use different recruiters for different parts of the process, with GUID-based email addresses at smartrecruiters.com, limiting efficiency of the lines of communication.
I was contacted by a recruiter a few weeks after I applied for a role. They emailed me on a Friday, wanting to setup a phone call for the following week, and I responded a few hours later. They use a smartrecruiters.com system that uses a GUID in place of an email address for their recruiters. But then I did not receive any response to my email until the following Friday. We had a phone call the following Monday that went well.
A separate recruiter at Visa contacted me to schedule three different remote interviews over Microsoft Teams, 30 minutes each. (There were actually two different recruiters coordinating these, so I was up to 3 total.)
These interviews ended up being scheduled for 3 different 30 minute time blocks. One was later in the week after the phone call, that was with the role's immediate manager, and the other two interviews were back to back the following week, with two other individuals in the department. (This was now 2.5 weeks after the initial email to schedule a phone call.) I felt each of those went fairly well. However, because a) there were 3 different recruiters involved, and b) the systems were setup to intentionally hide email addresses of various parties, I was unsure who I could or should reach out to afterwards. For example, I realized that I had answered 'No' to a question about my experience when in fact the answer was 'Yes'. But because I didn't have direct contact information to the interviewer, I could not reach out to clarify. (After 24 years in an industry, it's impossible to remember every little thing you've done during those types of Q&A.)
I had been told to expect another interview to be scheduled, with "the manager's manager".
But, I never received another single email or message from the main, original, recruiter involved, nor from one of the ones who worked to schedule the interview. Eventually, the other recruiter who scheduled an interview for me, replied to say they would "promptly contact the recruiter to have them get in touch with you with an update as soon as possible". But I never did get anything else.
So I am now over a month past the last communication, nearly 2 months from the initial recruiter's reach-out, and haven't heard anything else.
