I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Visor (Philippines) (Pasig City) in Mar 2019
Interview
Applied via JobStreet and was called for an interview.
The interview went very well as the interviewers were the founder himself and one of his employees. It felt like a real conversation and not the usual drilling interview. I made sure to ask them questions, too. I have gleaned that they are only a start-up. In fact, they only have three or four full-time employees as of now and the rest are freelance writers. They don’t even have an HR department. Yes, even the one who contacted me does not even bear an HR title. This is something everyone needs to consider in applying for a job.
Start-ups are risky, and that’s a fact. I haven’t had the chance to ask them directly where do they pull their funds from. They are an online magazine, but it seems that they do not have ads on their website nor a subscription of some kind. So where do they earn money is something every future applicant has to know. Because not everyone wants to be laid off just because some investors decided to backtrack.
Anyway, in general, the interviewers were very nice and respected in their own fields. I only wish that they fix their hierarchy and their application process. For me, this is not a place to venture for now.
Like other companies, they do not inform you applicants of their job application status.
