      Declined offer
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Voerman Group

      Interview

Phone conversation then face to face meeting. Generally not difficult. They described the position and asked me some questions about my background. I think English was the main criteria. Nothing too specific

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Voerman Group (Prague)

      Interview

I was invited for the interview and told that it might take around 2 hours. The office is located very far away form any public transport connections. In reality it took almost half a day. There were 3 people involved in the interview, a man I spoke on the phone with another manager and one lady (must be an assistant). The interviewers were leaving the room and taking brakes but I had to sit there and do one task after another. It was very exhausting process with several tests that were quite confusing for example math test, writing test, phone handling and even a psychological test that made me feel very uncomfortable. I do not like taking behavioral tests as the results can always be interpreted against you. I am very disappointed that the company bases their selection this. In the beginning of the interview they focused on my past experience and expectations also that was the only time they briefly tried to make me interested in working for them. The quantity of assignments and tasks was unnecessary. To cut the story short, I came there to see the company and evaluate whether I would be interested in working there. Of course they need to know what I can do and some tests are needed. Usually other companies divide it in two rounds or give a take-home assignment instead of keeping somebody in their office for half a day. I wasted almost an entire day with 1.5 hour travel each way, being tested with no brakes, no consideration was given to the fact that I was tired and by the time I started the last examination it was impossible to be fresh and focus.
