I sent in an online application via their parent company, Gray Television. Not even 5 days later, I get a call and a voicemail from the hiring manager. I give them a call back and he gives me an interview right there on the spot, no prior notice, no asking if I was in a position to do an interview. He then sets up an in-person interview for the following week. Since I live a little bit away, it was going to be a bit of a drive. So I call the day of the interview to ensure that we are still on track for the interview. When I call, the hiring manager did not seem like he remembered the interview, even though he called to set it up. That should have been the first red flag. I get to the interview, and he seems like he does not know what he is doing (for example, he had print-outs of typical interview questions). After going through the typical interview process, he gives me a tour and we round back to the conference room. There he proceeds to ask me a series of entirely inappropriate questions. Such as are you married, and how does your husband feel about relocating. Both are questions that were completely unrelated to the job, and ones that I should have avoided. After about a week, I still have not heard anything. So I send a nice email politely asking what the next steps are. Not even 5 minutes later, I get a TBNT. It was literally a copy and paste TBNT, not even addressed to me.
