I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Sunnyvale, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
This was a third stage of the interview process. The first two included a screening with a recruiter and a live coding challenge over the phone with an iOS team member. The on-site interview was about 1 hour long and included two white-board exercises and a technical problem that you walked the interviewer through.
First interview was a 20-30 minute phone call with the recruiter. If that goes well, second interview is typically a HackerRank test that you take online with a 90 min. time limit. If you "pass" the online test, next step is typically an on-site interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A few questions from the call: What is your situation? Why looking for job right now? How close are you to making the job change and do you have other interested companies?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Walmart in May 2016
Interview
For Walmart (this applies only to this division anyway; it's a huge company with many disparate areas), process begins after initial contact with a quick test on Hackerrank. I simply applied online. I included an aggressive cover letter which seemed to help cut through the clutter.

Question 1
Typical sort of hackerrank questions - seemingly easy but it's about being very good with the latest language features.
