Interview
I was initially reached by a asset protection recruiting and she insisted that I apply since I’d have it in the bag. I spoke with her about salary range to make sure it would at least match with my current job.
After doing an extensive online application, I was reached out to by a member with their HR to do a phone interview. It was formal and well structured. It lasted about an hour then was told to expect a call from a manager near me for a face to face interview.
I went in for an interview and was informed it was a panel interview while walking up. I had to wait about 40 minutes past to scheduled time due to one of the members being on a phone call. When I got in there
where 3 members that took turns asking questions that ended up being the same from the phone interview. The only question they put a lot of emphasis on was my salary requirement. The interview ended and I was informed I would receive notification soon after. 3 weeks later I received an email stating I was not selected for the position and should try reapplying.

Interview
I received one phone call after I applied to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was shorter than I anticipated, but I suspect it was because I answered their salary question honestly, based on the job requirements. I had researched everything before the interview and I suggested the salary range of a department manager. Asset protection is a different department in the store, but the person in that position cannot be tempted to turn away from activities that may be going on within that store because he or she may accept money to do so. To pay someone way less than other similar employees is a recipe for disaster in the security field.
