I applied online. I interviewed at Wickes

Interview

Applied online and was contacted by a recruiter to complete the first stage interview. The interview consisted of a test and competency questions which were asked by two members of the team. The interview itself was fine. However, it took at least two weeks for the recruiter to call me and tell me I had been unsuccessful. The feedback I was given was not helpful at all. I was told another candidate "ticked one or two more boxes". I was not given any feedback in terms of how well I did in the test or how I answered the interview question. The feedback was very generic and didn't include anything about my individual performance. I think Wickes needs to improve their recruitment process and offer candidates more personalised feedback so they can improve.

Very informal chat with the manager, few questions on experience and role expectations. Was more of a chat to see if I would fit in with the team more than anything else!

The interview was norma with Stranded questions. 1 phone Interview follow by multiple video Interviews. However they can’t keep to the time lines they promise and added an extra interview at the last Minute. They did offer me a different position when I didt get the one I originally applied for however they said it was a little bit less, I asked them to send me the spec/ hours and salary however it was alot less and actually a little offensive as they knew I had already had to take a cut on the orgianl

It was difficult and easy at the same time but I would say don’t waste your time as the workers are very racist also they only pretend bad place to work avoid the place at all cost because you will regret it you must make sure that you are happy with working at the place because workers will bully you half of the time so as managers

Interview

Phone call interview to discuss experience, then a face to face interview, 2nd interview to present training delivery, the interviewer did not know my name and appeared to not realise that I was coming, I offered dates for a 3rd interview, but those dates had passed and I got no response to my email. The process was slow and communication very bad.
