Question 1
What are the challenges and opportunities in the relevant policy area coming up in the next year?
I applied online. I interviewed at Wildlife and Countryside Link (London, England) in May 2017
Interview
The interview itself did not offer any surprises. It required a presentation and an article. When asked about the outcome, I was told that I would be informed by the end of the week. By then, I was told to wait for another two weeks to allow the panel to decide during the holidays. It was not until a month later that I was told I was unsuccessful. By then, the result did come as a surprise. When I thanked senior management about informing me about the outcome, I explained that it had been quite a distressing moment - job-seeking can be a sensitive moment for applications - for the decision-making process had not been respected and that applicants were not informed of any changed. I highlighted that it did not reflect well on the organisation.
When I asked for feedback, my interlocutor pleasantly agreed and suggested two possible dates. I proposed to have a short conversation one of these two days. I did not receive a call and when I suggested a new date, my interlocutor informed me she had been firefighting (!?) all day and would be in contact. This did not happen so I emailed another two weeks later and suggested she send a short written notice. This was two months ago.

Question 1
The interview was not particularly difficult. I had to make a presentation and provide an article. I was slightly confused during the presentation as the panel did not seem to have a fair grasp of the issue discussed. However, both members of the panel were friendly during the interview.
