xt.com conducted two rounds of interviews with me.
Although there were only two rounds, my overall experience was extremely poor.
First, they asked about my expected salary and mentioned the budget for the role.
However, they were clearly lying. After I completed all interviews and we began negotiating salary, they claimed they had made a mistake about the currency.
Initially, they stated the salary would be in US dollars, but after the interviews, they said it was actually Singapore dollars. It was completely ridiculous and a cheap trick.
Second, they also lied about the job nature. At first, they told me it was a remote position that can WFH.
But when they sent the offer, they suddenly required me to work on-site five days a week and follow their fixed schedule.
Don’t they understand that salaries for remote and on-site roles are supposed to be different?
It felt like they just wanted to deceive me upfront and change the requirements after I finished all interviews.
Their statements were inconsistent, especially what the HR said.
In the end, I rejected the offer.
It was a terrible experience, and the compensation they offered was extremely low — among the worst I’ve seen in the Web3 industry.
