Strong emphasis on relevant skills, experience, and project work (especially in tech, data, or media-related domains).
🔹 2. Recruiter Call (Initial HR Round)
A recruiter will contact you to:
Discuss your background and experience.
Understand your interest in Yahoo.
Verify your availability, location preferences, and salary expectations.
Provide an overview of the interview process.
🔹 3. Technical Screening (Phone/Online)
Usually conducted by an engineer.
May include:
Coding questions (on platforms like HackerRank, CoderPad, etc.).
Data structures and algorithms (DSA).
Problem-solving and debugging.
Questions relevant to the role (e.g., system design for backend roles, SQL and analytics for data roles, etc.).
🔹 4. Virtual/Onsite Technical Rounds (2–4 rounds depending on the role)
These rounds are role-specific but often include:

Focus on DSA, logic building, and time/space optimization.
Languages: Typically your preferred one (C++, Java, Python, etc.).
🧠 System Design / Architecture Round
For mid to senior-level roles.
You may be asked to design scalable systems (e.g., design a URL shortener, messaging service, etc.).
🧮 Data/SQL Round
For data-focused roles.
Expect complex SQL queries, data modeling, and some analytics case studies.
💬 Behavioral / Managerial Round
To evaluate cultural fit, communication skills, and how you handle challenges or conflict.
Typical questions: “Tell me about a time you failed,” “Why Yahoo?” etc.
🔹 5. Final HR Round
Offer discussion, compensation breakdown, and policy clarification.
May also include background checks and verification.
