I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zen Educate in Mar 2026
Interview
1. Quick chat with HR to go over role and background 2. Role play and task completion 3. Culture fit to make sure you align with core values and startup work pace
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Define grit, and tell me about a time you failed and how you handled it
Disorganized process, and mixed messaging on start dates (from the first interview to the 2nd interview) .
Initial call is just a 10-15 min screener interview. The stage 2 interview process is overkill with having to prep for an roleplay + 2 task assignments (with 1 being a slide presentation having to address over 10+ questions), while having to deal with curve ball questions during the presentation.

Question 1
Screener interview - tell me about yourself, your experience,
Why are you interested in applying for zen educate? Why were you interested in the role?
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Zen Educate (Bozeman, MT) in Apr 2026
Interview
The process was pretty comprehensive and gave me a good idea of my role and who Zen is as a company.
I enjoyed talking to each person at all three stages and felt they all shared an enthusiasm for their work that was appealing. My intro chat with Kyla was really great and very informative. My second stage interview with Molly and Jasmine was challenging and required a good deal of prep, but it really gave me a better idea of what the job is actually like. This was probably the most experiential stage, and, although challenging, it gave me a chance to show I was taking the prospect of this job seriously. My final chat with Ada confirmed what I had been seeing from everyone else at Zen and left me confident this was a place I wanted to work.
