      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Zenefits in Dec 2014

      Interview

Applied for one position online and was sent an email saying that my profile was better fit for this position. I received a request to schedule a time to speak with someone over the phone about my skills and the position available, which I did, when my day/time came she never called me I had to send her an email stating that I was waiting and unsure if we needed to reschedule our appt or what. An hour later the recruiter calls me stating her previous call went over (I wish she would have sent a email notifying me of that prior, but whatever). WE spoke for 45mins or so about the position my skills and if I would be a good fit for the role. Prior to disconnecting she wanted to schedule me for a in-person interview but wasn't sure of the schedule so someone called me following day with a day/time to come in person. I received a confirmation email of my appt and the Sunday prior I received a call confirming. The interview was setup in a speed dating style (as they described it) I sat at one table and completed 2 email request from angry clients (had 30mins to complete, someone sat with me to answer any questions I had during the process). From there I was moved to speak with the Director inn which we spoke about my skills and abilities etc for 30mins.... from there I was placed with a Manager over the dept where we discussed the role in a bit more detail and I was able to ask any questions that arose during the conversation. Everyone was nice although everything felt a bit rushed, you can tell they are in a rush to hire, hire, hire. After leaving I had my mind made up that if they call me back with an offer I would decline, it seems as if they are moving so swift that there's not much organization within the process. I waited a week or so when I didn't hear anything back from them in which they told me I had not been selected (whew). In closing I feel like with all the calling and emailing throughout the process an immediate "thanks, but no thanks" email would have been nice. But oh well. I have a feeling many that start here initially may not last due to them having so much going on right now. I worked for USAA when they first arrived in the Valley and saw many similarities with the 2 here, so proceed with caution.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zenefits (Tempe, AZ)

      Interview

The recruiter was very friendly and scheduled me for a three hour interview at the office after I completed a screening phone interview with her. I was set to interview with four separate people and then complete an online activity about how I'd respond to separate emails. Although I thought the interview with three of the folks went well, one of the folks I met with was very cold. I believe that she also happened to be the director of payroll, and I felt extremely uncomfortable around her. I never throw the race card around, but I think that she would've been much more friendlier if I wasn't of Hispanic decent. Needless to say, I wasn't offered the position despite having almost two years of similar work experience, a bachelor's degree, and stellar references.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Zenefits (Tempe, AZ)

      Interview

It involved a phone interview, followed by a 2 and a half on site interview with 3 people in person and one via Skype. After my time there I reached out and thanked the recruiters for their time. On the phone the job sounded amazing, but what they seemed to want was employees who don't really have a family or outside life, outside of the job and the 12-14 hours that you would be required to work, daily. I but I found the process rather long and time consuming. And the canned response email I received as for the reason for not being offered the position was rather confusing, I was praised for my experience and skills but was told I wasn't the "right fit" at this time. No elaboration was provided. I decided not to pursue, because ultimately I knew I could do better and found a better position elsewhere that allowed for more of a balance between work and my personal life.

They have you answer two situational questions as possible emailed customer interactions, they are timed and done via a mac laptop.

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter within two days of submitted an online application, and was then scheduled to come into their office for a two hour interview. I met with four people, and one of them didn't even know which position I was applying for. It was extremely awkward, and although two of the four people I met were super friendly, this definitely isn't the type of culture I'd want to be a part of. You can only sound so enthusiastic about working 12 hour days with HR software. I think the reason as to why I didn't get the position was because I couldn't give a sufficient number of reasons as to why I wanted to work for their company. Your product is HR software, not Google, guys.
