Contacted by HR representative that haven't told me about the project, set a meeting same day, was 6 minutes late to it. Following is a description of a first interview with a HR representative. Haven't introduced himself, jumped straight to my experiences. Afterwards attempted to ask technical questions. I've politely declined and insisted on discussing the project he had in mind and salary expectations first(since this is a Portuguese outsourcing company they 90% cannot offer you enough). Was given some lackluster description and an OK to my salary expectations. Answered technical questions. Interviewer jumped back to my work permit(a "little" bit late but whatever). Asked whether I want to be paid in gross and why do I tell a gross number. Told me salary they can pay(that's 2x lower my expectations). When I have asked what happened with a previous "OK" to my salary expectations - was told there's two projects and I'm not fitting the first one. I've thanked him for the interview and told that this salary is not what I can agree upon to which he replied "Are you still expecting to be paid X?". I said "yes". He couldn't hide a smirk. There was so many mistakes made by recruiter here but attempts to low-ball me was a bit too much. Red flags everywhere.
