I applied online and a recruiter emailed me to schedule a phone interview. She asked if I was available on a specific day at 1:30pm. I said yes, but she never responded so I still expected the call. That day and time comes and she never called. I emailed to confirm and no response. So, I took that as being ghosted and went about my week. The next Monday she emails with an apology saying that the reason she missed it is because she had to take a half day on Friday. The call was scheduled for Thursday... She then told me that she will call me the next day at 12:30pm. I still had doubts, but confirmed the call time and took it with a grain of salt. I was correct to do this because the next morning, she emailed saying that she just checked and saw that my location isn't where the company must have someone for this role to be remote. Which was frustrating because the job post location was Remote- US. If this excuse is legit, then I feel like the posts should specify which locations are eligible for remote work. Overall, the experience was just a waste of time and it was disappointing because I was excited to interview with Athenahealth.
