I’d like to share feedback regarding a recent interview experience that I found to be highly unprofessional.
After successfully completing all interview stages—including LeetCode-style coding challenges and system design interviews—I was informed that I would be joining a different team than originally discussed. This change required me to restart the entire interview process from scratch, including another round of coding and system design interviews.
Following this second round of interviews, I was presented with a salary offer that was significantly lower than the expectations I had clearly communicated during my initial HR conversation.
Additionally, all interviews were scheduled for 45 minutes, but each one required extensions due to time constraints, which added unnecessary pressure and confusion.
Overall, the process lacked transparency, consistency, and respect for the candidate’s time and expectations.all the interview was 45 minutes and needed to extend them
very unprofessional process
During the system design interview, I was tasked with designing an application, which included detailed questions about the database architecture. The interview focused on:
Database schema design: I was asked to define how data would be structured and stored.
Query strategies: Specific questions were raised about how data would be queried efficiently.
Optimization techniques: I was asked how to improve query performance, particularly in scenarios involving operations like GROUP BY.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at eToro (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Aug 2024
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter, who said there would be only one technical interview as they want the process to be fast.
I was interviewed by two interviewers, who asked me about system design of a system I worked on. They asked questions related to fault tolerance and scalability - pretty standard.
Later the recruiter told me they were impressed but they didn't have time to do the coding part so they'd have to interview me again and they'll get back to me to schedule additional coding interview.
The technical interview took place on August 4, I got an email from the recruiter that they won't continue the process only on August 22, after reaching out to her twice during this time to check my status.
Another friend who interviewed there told me that after two weeks they sent him an email to know whether he had other processes, not even giving him an answer.
It seems that they interview without the intention to actually recruit, but to have a pool of candidates they could address some time when they need to actually recruit.

Question 1
Fault tolerance and scalability in a system design interview.
ask me some thoretical qustions about c# and .net. affter that ask me about some project that i was worked on, and at the end ask me a leetcode question "Reverse integer".
