The process started after speaking with representatives from itm8 at the V2 Security conference in Aarhus, which led to them inviting me for an initial coffee meeting followed by two interviews.
The interview process initially felt professional and promising. During the second interview, held two weeks ago on Tuesday, I was informed that I would receive feedback within a maximum of 14 days, likely sooner.
However, I never received a call or email regarding the outcome. Instead, I had to approach the company myself at the V2 Security conference in Copenhagen, where I was casually informed in person that they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
I fully respect their decision to choose another candidate, but I found the handling of the communication disappointing and unprofessional. After investing significant time in meetings, interviews, and assessments, I believe candidates deserve a proper follow-up, even if it is just a brief email or phone call.
The people I met during the process were friendly, but the final communication left a poor impression.
