As a Graduate Trainee Engineer, through the two year programme, you will receive hands-on training in both current industry practices and next-generation technologies, including best practice and safety requirements for battery manufacturing. You will gain exposure to key stages of the cell value chain through rotational projects across synthesis scale-up, electrode formulation, cell assembly, formation/aging, cycling protocols, and cell characterisation.
Each rotation provides a unique experience designed to build critical skills for battery engineers. During the first year, rotations will typically last between 3 and 6 months, with opportunities to specialise in a chosen area in year two.
This specialist graduate pathway offers a diverse, high-quality programme with opportunities to work in collaboration with industry and academic partners within a project engineering and applied research setting.
We seek a minimum of a 2:1 Honours Degree in any STEM related degree discipline. We encourage applications from candidates with a degree in Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline.

As a Graduate Engineer you will work on a range of projects, providing you with a firm grounding in the principles of project engineering, research and project management. Each rotational project will offer a unique experience. Some projects may be lab based, others may have more of a focus on research or development. During year one of the Programme, each project duration will last between 3 and 6 months.
