About the Role
We are seeking a poised, professional, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our business. This role is essential in creating a positive and professional experience for clients, visitors, and debtors while supporting the daily administrative operations of the company.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Receptionist Responsibilities
· Welcome and assist all walk-in clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
· Manage a high-volume switchboard by answering, screening, and directing incoming calls to the appropriate departments.
· Handle inquiries from clients and debtors with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
· Provide administrative support to the Collections, Finance, and Administration departments.
· Assist with data capturing and account-related administration.
· Manage incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and office correspondence.
· Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure documents are properly organized.
· Monitor reception and meeting areas to ensure a professional office environment.
· Schedule appointments and assist with general office coordination when required.
· Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and personal information.
Receptionist Requirements
· Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
· Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, or customer-facing professional preferred.
· Experience in retail, hospitality, or a professional services environment will be advantageous.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Strong administrative and organizational skills.
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
· Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with difficult or emotional callers.
· High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
