Gammies Groundcare Forfar (Part of A. M. Phillip) is recruiting for a Machinery Assembler

Location: Gammies Groundcare, Forfar

Job type: Flexible, Part-time, Full-time

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8 am – 5pm, Friday 8 am – 4.30 pm, alternate Saturday mornings 8 am – 12:00pm

Pay: £35-38K DOE.

The Role

We are currently recruiting a semi-skilled machinery assembler to join our team at our depot in Forfar. Flexibility on a part-time or full-time basis.

This is an interesting role working within our workshop to assemble and PDI a large variety of machines including tractors, lawnmowers, Groundcare equipment, ATVs, UTVs and more.

From the delivery of goods in and out, you will manage a section of our Workshop, including unloading and loading lorries and machinery storage maintenance. This role will primarily consist of the assembly of new machinery to the specifications of customers, PDI (pre-delivery inspection) and the testing of newly built machinery.

This role will include:

• Assembling machinery to specification
• PDI (pre-delivery inspection)
• Cleaning and prepping machines
• Quality control & testing of built machinery
• Machinery storage maintenance
• Uploading & loading lorries
• Managing goods in and out
• Managing, organising and storage of boxed wholegoods.

The Person

The role is based at our Depot in Forfar, candidates must be able to work on their own and as part of a team with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Experience/Skills:

Training is available for this role for the right candidate. Key attributes and skills include:

• A strong mechanical knowledge
• Preferably trained or has previous experience as a mechanic
• Organizational & time management skills
• Ability to work in a safety-conscious manner.
• Good attention to detail

Essential

• Forklift certified.
• Driving License
