    Risk Officer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Brussels (Belgium)
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Average Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at AG Insurance (Brussels (Belgium)) in June 2019.

    - 1 HR interview: no surprises here
    - 4 Interviews with managers: no surprises here
    - 1 assessment center: time management is really important (it's context wise not at all difficult) and because I went for a wrong approach with 1 simulation (I expected a context wise difficult simulation, my approach was anyway not good, also in this case) I was not able to well manage my time which then resulted in not being able to show all the necessary competencies which resulted in not having an offer.

Improvement points on the assessment center. Let 2 persons do each round. 1 to play a role in the assessment center and 1 to take notes of the candidate. This makes room to have a more natural conversation with the candidate. Now it felt I had to do with a boss who has actually no time for me and came over very dominant which doesn't seems realistic to me considering that the managers looked to me as very considerate and capable people. Nevertheless it was a good first experience for me in an assessment center and in a next one I am sure I will do a good job and manage my time better. Although there are surely improvement points I feel also just unlucky.

Also the agenda of the assessment center was not clear. There were only 2 simulations while they talked in the brochure about 2 simulation, interview and personality test (minor detail but still).

Improvement points to HR: let the candidate know in advance how many interview rounds he has to do. Especially as interview number three was announced as the final one while I had to do one more.
