BD Global Health observes World Hepatitis Day on July 28th!
Viral hepatitis causes both short- and long-term liver disease, leading to 1.34 million deaths annually—more than HIV, TB and malaria. An estimated 325 million people around the world live with chronic hepatitis B or C, the deadliest forms of the disease (information from the World Health Organization). To minimize exposure risk for both healthcare workers and patients, caregivers should always follow best practices using the proper products.

Diversity Month at BD
In recognition of Diversity Month and to celebrate BD’s continued focus on supporting equality, twelve BD sites across the globe participated in fundraising, awareness, and Pride events, increasing our participation of two locations in 2017, by six-fold! The Out and Proud Employee Network (OPEN) Associate Resource Group (ARG) raised over $3,500, with BD’s charitable matching program, that’s over $7,000 for local organizations focused on helping LGBTQ youth.

Great ethos towards work - getting it right is the priority, not the speed to market. Work life balance is excellent and the work is interesting and philanthropic.
The management are keen to listen.
The office is studious and quiet. That said the staff are all friendly and I have never heard a raised voice. Process is paramount so if you like to fly free then this is not the place for you. I love it which is not really a con....
Advice to Management
Continue with the ethics and work life balance. The strength of the company is within the quality of the product. Ensure the staff have continued support from management to deliver the best and strive to improve.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BD (Frankfurt am Main (Germany)) in June 2018.
This was a 4-weeks process. First an HR phone screen, followed by face to face interview with the line manager and a team member. The last step was a group interview with some members from a specialist department and again the line manager and the team member. During the whole process I felt very welcomed. I got all the the information regarding the position. We had a good discussion and the chance to speak very frankly. After the last interview, I was quickly accepted.
