I worked at InMobi full-time (More than a year)
Fantastic group of people, great atmosphere. A very collaborative culture. Ambitious start-up culture with the team at that time focused on progressing the company
Difficult to understand and implement the business strategy and thinking
Dynamic environment not managed effectively
Revolving door issue
Everyone I know has left
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at InMobi (Bengaluru (India)) in April 2018.
1. Recruiter called me and set up an exploratory interview. It was telephonic. I was in remote location and it did not work well. So I was asked to come to the office for face to face. This round was mostly about explaining the position and knowing about my aspirations. I was asked to come back for a full day interview. No clue was given on what to prepare.
2. I came for the full day interview. I met VP of Engineering. He asked me about my current role. Why I was looking for change? What is the current Architecture? The toughest technical problem that I faced. After 30 min of discussion, I was asked if I had any questions. I asked few and I was told to wait.
3. The next interviewer came. He told he leads all the platform. His body language was not convenient. He was semi-lying on the couch and putting his hand on the head. He was showing off as an expert. The questions asked were on management and scenario based. E.g: What were conflicts that you resolved inside and outside your team. How do you grow your team members? What is the size of the team you handle? etc. He paused and asked me to ask any questions. I asked few. Then he left the room.
The recruiter came and asked me to leave, without asking even a single question.
