Description We are The Flood People. Our flood maps, catastrophe models and analytics are used by some of the world’s largest organisations in the re/insurance, finance, asset management and International Development sectors to quantify and mitigate flood risk.

We're a collaborative team of scientists, hydrologists, mathematicians, software developers and engineers, using pioneering science to keep us at the forefront of technical innovation.

Founded in 2011, we're headquartered in the UK and now have offices in Asia Pacific, the US and Europe. We're part of the JBA Group, one of the largest flood and environmental consultancies in the world, founded in 1995.

Our team work on exciting cutting-edge projects every day. We produced the first probabilistic Global Flood Model, pioneering a new way of modelling, as well as the first US and EU Flood Maps at 5m resolution nationwide. We were also the first to include surface water flooding in national-scale flood mapping data and in 2018 introduced the first UK Climate Change Flood Model.

Our collaborative approach creates an environment of inclusivity, innovation and cooperation, making our company a great place to work. We value the passion of our staff and the expertise they provide for our clients and our success can only happen through the dedication of our team.

We're dedicated to providing a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits plan, flexible working and continued learning and development. Find out more here: https://www.jbarisk.com/about-us/careers-at-jba/
