   I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sourcegraph (United States) in Sep 2021

   Interview

   The interview process consisted of:
   - A manager screen for determining interest and fit.
   - A code walkthrough. I previously worked on an open source project, so I did a walkthrough of a subsystem. This interview was a lot of fun.
   - A system design interview covering a distributed system with increasing complexity.
   - A collaboration interview: This was with a product manager and a product designer.
   - A Values interview: This largely consisted of questions like "Tell me about a time when ..." related to the different Sourcegraph values.
   - A Leadership interview with a Director: This was mostly an opportunity for me to ask questions.
   - A Leadership interview with the CTO: This was mostly an opportunity for me to ask questions. I scheduled an extra call since the initial call ended up being a bit short.
   
   Overall, the interview process matched what was written in the handbook. The recruiter was also happy to share more details about the interview stages, as one of the interview stages didn't have a solid description in the handbook at the time.
   
   All the interviewers were quite friendly. The technical interviews felt collaborative to some extent, like how you'd talk to colleagues in an actual work environment.
