I have been working at Wayfair full-time (More than a year)

It's a great place to learn, be challenged, and develop your career. There are endless opportunities to lead projects, learn from intelligent colleagues, and develop new skills, all in an exciting, very fast-paced environment. You feel supported by senior leadership who actually want to see you succeed and grow and will give you opportunities to lead and drive strategy for the business. Wayfair also has a fantastic company culture with great work/life balance. We work hard, but we have a lot of fun as well!

Leveling/titling at Wayfair is a little interesting and doesn't always seem to match with years of experience. Most people seem to come in at the same level, regardless of the prior years of experience they have, and they tend to down-level people quite frequently from where they were at previous companies. That being said, you're given the support and tools to build your career and move up the ladder pretty quickly.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA (US)) in January 2019.

    1. Brief Conversation with HR (It was surprising she asked me some questions such as what is a DRY principle, Difference between inner and outer join, some basic questions about HashMap). Pretty basic questions I must say.
    2. Next round was Phone tech round with Engg Manager. Asked to code in coderpad and verified that code runs. Then asked SQL questions giving me all Entities and data in it . Essentially based on that asked all me all twisted questions.
    3. Next was invited Onsite. Had 5 rounds with 1 Behavioral, 1 DB round, 1 Design, 1 Programming, 1 Lunch. Lunch is ideally mixed with gauging your interest and your aspirations.
    4. Got the offer in next 3 days.

    Interview Questions

    • Phone Round: Regarding shipping labels parsing and then calculating the total   Answer Question
    • Onsite: 1. How would you go about designing MTBA network (Rail and Road network)? Followup: How would keep track of user activities.   1 Answer
    • OnSite 2: Programming: Program Roulette game and determine if you win/loose having an initial amount. You need to also determine if its really your day to play more or not.   Answer Question
    • Onsite 3: Database: Design Cookbook DB and some questions based on that.   Answer Question
