Exposing the Dark Side of 1021 Creative

Pros

it's a 100% remote job. We get a generous 32 days of PTO, which sounds great, but sometimes it's hard to actually take all those days off when you want!!

Cons

Working at 1021 Creative can be tough. Seniors aren't really competent, talking too much without actions. They often focus on superficial things and cause chaos and inefficiencies. And the worst part? Salaries don't always match the effort we put in, making things feel totally unfair, especially when people in the same team can earn different salaries. It's really frustrating because it's not even related to competence, it's just some unfortunate HR decision. It's hard to see clear career growth opportunities too. Plus, there are promises that never get fulfilled, adding to the disappointment. The work environment can get super stressful, and there's not enough support to handle it all. They need to address these issues ASAP to make things better for everyone.

Pros

Remote work, nice International team

Cons

They might come across nice people who care about their staff but in reality they don't. They under pay their staff for the amount of work required.

Pros

Good team, great client and decent PTO

Cons

If you’re looking for career growth, fair treatment, and stability, this is not the place for you. While the team itself is great and some projects can be enjoyable, that’s where the positives end. The reality? There’s absolutely no career progression—only empty promises of promotions and bonuses that never materialize. Hard work goes completely unrecognized, with those who go above and beyond getting the same (or worse) treatment as those who barely contribute. The lack of motivation in the company is palpable, and upper management only makes it worse. Chaotic leadership and lack of communication make the job even more frustrating. The people hired to organize and streamline the workflow fail to communicate anything properly, leaving employees blindly navigating constant, unannounced changes. Management introduces new policies and processes without informing the team, forcing employees to constantly adapt to sudden shifts—only for those changes to be reversed or replaced shortly after. There is no stability, no vision, and no clear direction for anyone trying to build a career here. Speaking of management, they seem more focused on micromanaging employees to exhaustion rather than actually supporting growth. Promotions and opportunities aren’t based on merit but rather personal biases. Some employees are clearly given better treatment simply because management likes them, while hardworking individuals are overlooked and undervalued. Ultimately, this company isn’t interested in nurturing talent or rewarding dedication—it’s simply looking for people to overwork and burn out. If you want a job that appreciates effort, provides a clear career path, and values proper leadership, look elsewhere.
