ALDI is very cheap and budgets are very strict, so except cheap equipment and cheap employee treatment, like having to pay for things out of pocket. Culture is almost non-existent here, and of what is here, is very rigid and stale. Depending on your position, your day-to-day duties change like the wind, so it’s very difficult to establish a work rhythm. Sink or swim environment with absolutely ZERO investment in job training outside of the initial 1 week you get of general “onboarding” - then it’s off to the races. The leaders aren’t necessarily bad, but are very cold, robotic like, non-personable and distant. Lastly, the desk situation is a mess - having to book seat assignments weeks in advance is a royal pain, and when applicable, having to commute between the different office locations once per month is a headache.
