Pros

1) Discount on supplements 2) Great team

Cons

1) Micromanagement, if you're not in the office then "you're not working" 2) Not an adult work culture, hours are 8:00am-5:00pm (or 5:30, 6:00, weekends- but always 8:00am, no exceptions). 3) Employees' day-to-day is subjective to CEO's mood instead of the workload delegated by your direct manager/ your own responsibilities. You don't have any true dsay-so 4) Health insurance offered is a joke ($450-650/ mo) but they'll donate $500 to a charity of your choice for Christmas

Pros

Some of your coworkers are great

Cons

To echo others... the CEO/Owner ruins any glimmer of happiness. It is astonishing to watch someone tear down her employees day after day. It’s embarrassing to walk through the building and hear her employees openly talk about how much they don’t like her. Most of your day-to-day is not given to you from your manager, it’s last-minute tasks from the CEO who then turns around and freaks out that nothing is planned in advance enough. No one can get their head above water. The COVID19 response is an absolute joke. There are stricter rules about eating gluten in the office than there are about the current GLOBAL health crisis. None of the 30+ people employees want to be at the office because there are little to no real safety precautions. Everything put in to place is the absolute bare minimum (wipe down surfaces, wear a mask in meetings, wash your hands). Instead of this internet based e-commerce company working from home indefinitely, everyone is required to come to the brand-new office space because... the CEO wants us here.

Pros

The team is absolutely amazing. Furthermore, I constantly hear the same from my coworkers. The day to day tasks are challenging (in a good way), fulfilling, and very enjoyable. The ability to do work that positively impacts the health of other people, adds to the personal fulfillment you get from working here. In short, I love my day to day tasks and I absolutely love my coworkers.

Cons

The owner. Everything good about this job is almost completely taken away by the owner. She believes she is the smartest about everything and loves to micromanage in areas where she clearly doesn't know anything. She wants what she wants, so she get what she wants and then blames you when things don't perform well even though you advised against the strategy. She is verbally abusive in a very public manner and her mood swings in the wind. If she's having a bad day because of something else, she isn't capable of compartmentalizing it and will lash out at everyone because something else didn't go her way. Record breaking sales numbers aren't good enough for her. If you give her good news that numbers were met and broken in spite of multiple best selling products out of stock, she will ask why the numbers weren't even higher. The way the company has responded to COVID has also been quite poor. They have lots of policies to make it seem like they're doing something, but the execution of the policies in many ways makes the office less safe. If you can get a job here where you don't have to interact with the owner, it'll be an awesome place to work. If you have to interact with the owner, you will have to be incredibly strong willed and self confident because the abuse will be constant. There's a reason why the turnover is so high and the company cannot retain people at the exec level.
