The owner. Everything good about this job is almost completely taken away by the owner. She believes she is the smartest about everything and loves to micromanage in areas where she clearly doesn't know anything. She wants what she wants, so she get what she wants and then blames you when things don't perform well even though you advised against the strategy. She is verbally abusive in a very public manner and her mood swings in the wind. If she's having a bad day because of something else, she isn't capable of compartmentalizing it and will lash out at everyone because something else didn't go her way. Record breaking sales numbers aren't good enough for her. If you give her good news that numbers were met and broken in spite of multiple best selling products out of stock, she will ask why the numbers weren't even higher.
The way the company has responded to COVID has also been quite poor. They have lots of policies to make it seem like they're doing something, but the execution of the policies in many ways makes the office less safe.
If you can get a job here where you don't have to interact with the owner, it'll be an awesome place to work. If you have to interact with the owner, you will have to be incredibly strong willed and self confident because the abuse will be constant. There's a reason why the turnover is so high and the company cannot retain people at the exec level.
