Pros

Nothing positive about this company. They will let go of you in a blink of an eye.

Cons

You are just a number and it is not a teamwork oriented company. Very poorly paid.

Interesting work, little drive from leadership

Pros

The work is very interesting. I like what I do everyday and I like my coworkers a lot. You also have the opportunity to change careers across the different groups if you have interest there which keeps your advancement options open. The hours are pretty specific but there has been more flexibility in the last year or so.

Cons

Pay is just okay. From discussions I've had with coworkers, it seems like management gives the same raise to every employee regardless of their work ethic and performance. Management also seems to drive all everything through the owners. It would be nice if they took the lead and managed their teams since they see the day to day work.

You are just a number

Pros

Activar is a big company, so it looks good on your resume.

Cons

Management and ownership are clueless. Most of the real "talent" has either left the company or been let go. Everyone feels like a number, and they are treated as such. What used to be a great place to work, has been turned into a heartless money making machine for the ownership.

Pros

If you want to work every day Activar is a good place to go to work. The work isn't real hard physically.

Cons

Very few shop floor employees make what they are worth. Most employees are paid far less than what they should be paid. Shop policies and office policies are completely opposite even though they each get the same benefit package and have the same company rules. Certain company departments are appreciated while others are ignored. Upper management doesn't listen to the hourly employees. They belittle the hourly employee by telling them what they want them to hear instead of telling them the truth. Employee reviews are consistently months late.

Worst place I've ever worked

Pros

Some of my coworkers turned into very close friends. The warehouse guys are awesome. That's about it.

Cons

Completely clueless management and useless, incompetent supervisors. How we did things in our department were always changing, so we always had a lot of questions. Well, our supervisor really had no idea what was going on and she was just flat out mean, so we would ask another departments lead our questions. One day, we were told that we can ONLY ask our supervisor our questions because we are losing valuable work time walking all the way over to another department. No joke, the other department was maybe 20 feet away. It took five seconds to walk over there. Now, whenever we would ask our supervisor a question, she would flat out ignore us. We'd be standing right next to her, asking her questions and she would just pretend we didn't exist. It was the most childish thing I've ever witnessed at work. When some brought up the issue with her boss, they were told that this particular supervisor has been warned many times about her attitude and she would talk to her again. I don't think she ever got a talking to because she never changed. The manager of the office comes across as really nice at first but she is the most backstabbing person of all. There is literally not ONE person that works there that she hasn't gone out of her way to spread rumors about. The office itself was just nasty. The walls were infested with rats and mice. When the heat would kick on, you couldn't breath through your nose because the smell of burning mice was so bad. I could go on and on, but I'm not going to waste anymore of my time on this company.
